How is the sea experience at sea?

 

Seagoing service is calculated in days, months and years according to:

 1. the type and tonnage of the ship;

 2. the area of ​​navigation;

 3. the propulsive power of the ship's power system (SSS);

 4. the position performed by the ship.

  One month of seagoing service is equal to a calendar month or 30 days when it consists of the summation of periods of less than one calendar month.

  The seagoing service shall be certified by a seaman's book or by a certificate of seagoing service (Annex № 4), issued by the respective territorial directorate "Maritime Administration" (FTA) in IAMA upon requesting the service.

  A seaman's book is issued to Bulgarian seafarers, as well as to students and pupils in maritime specialties in Bulgarian educational institutions, who will conduct a sailing internship. A seaman's book is issued after passing the basic training in maritime safety.
