Holidays

Holidays are paid and unpaid. A first-time worker may take his paid annual leave when he has completed at least 8 months of service. It does not matter if he has been with one or different employers after 8 months he is entitled to basic leave of 20 working days for one year. Depending on the nature of the work, some employees are entitled to extended leave. Paid annual leave may be used at one time or in part, in accordance with a schedule approved by the employer during the year for which it is due. The person who wishes to enjoy his / her right to leave must apply to his / her employer. In it, he expresses his wish for leave and indicates the time during which he wants to rest. Failure to take leave within two years of the end of the year to which it is due shall be forfeited. No matter the reason. The employee is entitled to monetary compensation for unused paid annual leave for the current year in proportion to the amount of time that is recognized as length of service when the employment relationship is terminated. Unpaid annual leave can be used regardless of the accumulated length of service. It can be used at any time and without a fixed duration. The employer is not obliged to allow its use, it depends on its judgment. If the unpaid leave exceeds 30 working days, it is no longer considered as length of service.
