Bulgaria fight terrorism and violence against children
On the recommendation of the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of measures against money laundering and terrorist financing (MONI) to the Council of Europe addressed the Republic of Bulgaria through legislative change parliament completes the crime rate on terrorist financing. Next, the SC introduced into national law the rules of Directive 2011/93 / EU on combating the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children in order to increase effectiveness of prevention and fight against this kind of crime. Also, the legislature raises the sanction of driving a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol or drugs, or when driving without a corresponding driving license in an effort to adopt measures to limit the adverse effects caused by serious accidents.
Parliament sets and not excluded by prescription prosecution and enforcement of the sentence in relation to crimes against peace and humanity, serious crimes against the person and against the rights of citizens, as well as generally dangerous crimes of the Penal Code committed in the period from September 9, 1944 until November 10, 1989 by members of the governing bodies of the Bulgarian Communist Party, as well as from third parties entrusted senior officials or party functions.
Law amending the Criminal Code came into force three days after its publication and from that moment the criminal cases for these crimes, which were discontinued due to outdated resume.
