The lawsuit was filed on behalf of 11 states against the federal government.
Plaintiffs are Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Maine, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin, as well as school districts in Arizona and Texas. The lawsuit claims that the new rules and instructions issued by federal authorities regarding access of transgender people to toilets and changing rooms, violate the US Constitution. They deviated so much from acts of Congress that actually reached A seizure of legislative power by the executive. In fact, educational institutions and workplaces turned into laboratories for social experiments of the government. Schools also fear that failure to comply with the new rules could deprive them of $ 70 billion subsidies that Washington granted annually to state and local educational institutions. Defendants in the case are the Minister of Justice and Ministry of Justice itself, the ministries of education and labor, the Commission for equal opportunities for employment and employees in these institutions. So far, federal authorities are no comments.
