Each municipality has an ordinance to protect the green spaces in its territory. Therefore, even to cut down a tree in your yard, you must have a permit issued by the mayor. Also, each municipality has its own requirements on this issue, so you should familiarize yourself with the requirements of your municipality. To obtain a permit, you must apply to the relevant municipality based on these two requirements: if the trees or shrubs endanger the safety of traffic or the safety of citizens, buildings; natural disasters and industrial accidents to eliminate their effects. There is an opportunity to ask you for a document of ownership of the property. Permission is given within the timeframe within which you must cut or prune. The term is determined depending on the municipality where your property is located. In addition to the term, the permit also mentions the number of trees you can cut down, which should be the same as the number of trees specified in your application. If the tree is located between the property of your neighbor and you are in good neighborly relations, there is no problem after you have applied to remove the tree. However, if your neighbor disagrees, you should contact the court to resolve this issue. The removal will be at your expense, of course. If a violation is found, you may be sanctioned by the officials of the specialized landscaping services established within the municipality. If they are not found, the mayor has the right to authorize other persons who can find a violation. You will then be fined. Its size is different for each municipality. Of course, you have the right to appeal the fine.
